Learning Language & Communication Skills

In our classroom, pre-primary students develop a broad vocabulary that will help them throughout their lives. Our experienced teachers introduce vocabulary and grammar creatively, reading books aloud, playing videos, and singing songs. Additionally, kids use age-appropriate materials that develop essential language and communication skills. The combination of adult support and class materials results in students learning to communicate with peers, parents, and teachers.

Developing Motor Activities

Our Montessori program for toddlers considers physical activities crucial for students’ growth and development. Kids are encouraged to engage in active play outside and inside the classroom. Physical activity develops their gross and fine motor skills, which helps them coordinate their movements. We complement motor activities with sensory materials and equipment in the classroom that allow pre-primary children to strengthen their skills, creativity, and imagination.
We are open Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and offer the following programs for children 18 months – 6 years of age:
  • Full or half days (9 am-3 pm and 9 am-12 pm)
  • Before and after care (7:30-9 am and 3-6 pm)
  • Summer Camp – 7-week program July – August

As a teacher, I was very concerned about finding the right childcare for my son. We toured IMS Paoli and immediately fell in love with the director and beautiful school. Our son loved the independence that a Montessori program provided and really thrived in the pre primary classroom. Our 10 month old daughter goes to IMS Great Valley and Silvia is a baby whisperer. Our daughter did not leave my side for the first five months of her life but really bonded with Silvia. She is truly a gem. While I miss my children during the day, I have absolutely zero worries about them and know that they are happy and well cared for.
